project HIGHWAY 8
Highway 8 was a full staircase rebuild in a Hamilton home. The original stairs and railing were dated and did not match the rest of the house, so we rebuilt the run in white oak with new treads, risers and stringers and reworked the landing so it opens cleanly into the living space.
Square oak newel posts and slim black iron spindles replaced the old railing, and the treads were finished to match the hardwood running through the rest of the floor. Every piece was cut and fitted on site, so the returns, trim and landing line up from the bottom step to the top.
